We warmly welcome Anubis to our Stables, he has his own we barn being built up to reprisent the Temples his father told him of, insense burns in protected area to prevent it burning the barn down and candle-like sun-lamps set at an ambiant glow helps provide a similar atmosphere.

He is not ridden but his sons and daughters were known for:
Cat/harness, Endurence, racing, halter, empathy/mind reading, metallic coats.

Personality:
Communicates with his mind in feelings and pictures, is rather quiet and noble, not aloof or snobbish at all, his movement is described as floating and light with lots of spring to his step. He thoroughly enjoys free-form showing and adores jumping, his eyes are large and expressive and have a dark blue pupil.
His mane is naturaly long at the front and short at the back, tail and forelock grow naturaly straight, I trim his forelock to suit his mane. His tail doesnt grow longer than the top of his fetlocks, his mane at the longest part reaches his elbows.

When approaching him, start at the wither, dont offer your hand as you usualy would any other horse you dont know, he gets quite insulted.
Instead rub your hand on his wither and chest, then with your hand at his chest height hold it flat, back of the palm first, then turn it over and expose your palm, then wait. If nothing happens, stroke at his withers with your free hand and repeat the movement.
Anubis will then drop his head and place his muzzel in your palm.

You are then free to stroke his face gently whilst he rests there. Why you do this is showing a sign of respect and honouring his personal space, not by being submissive but by removing any agressive direct movements, eg; going for his face first.

He LOVE to be groomed, the way to his heart is through a soft brush.

His Story:
Anubis' lines go right to Temple horses used and bred to reprisent the different gods and pull great carts that held statues of the various gods.
Anubis's Sire himself was used at the temple of Anubis but was the lastborn before Egypt fell and all was left to ruin. He traversed the eyptian sands, banding with arab mares till a caravan of Akhel teke breeders came accross him.

Eager for the company and revere he once had, he approached them. An agreement was made, he would travel with the breeder as long as he was respected and honoured and had one mare to himself.
She bore a son, Anubis, who in time would outlive his mortal mother and move on with his Sire through the breeder's generation, being handed down to sons and daughters to keep his memory alive.

Then the Breeder's family line died out and with it went his sire's heart, he refused to live on without the kindness he knew of that family and so died of sorrow.

Anubis strode out then on his own, captured, mistreated, sold and bustled about in search of what his father once had.
Untill Miss MoonQuill of WindDrinker stables came accross him, and gave the stallion hope and promise of a better life in her care.
